EDGA 2025 Winter Training Camps

2025 Winter Training Camps

Our indoor training camps are returning in 2025. We're back with the same format as last year for our general training camps.

Camps are every Friday night from 830 PM to 11 PM at Foote Field on the U of A Campus. From 830 - 10, Coach Gabe Piska will offer his expertise to help you improve your game on a small section of the field. Starting at 10, we open up the full field for individual practice. If you haven't been to the field before, it is a regulation CFL field measuring in at around 450 feet.

This year, we have two camps that you can sign up for:

  • General Training Camp #1 - Feb 7 to Feb 28 - Great for beginner and intermediate players looking to learn and review general disc golf form for a variety of shots. No experience necessary. 25 spots available.
  • General Training Camp #2 - March 7 to March 28 - Great for beginner and intermediate players looking to learn and review general disc golf form for a variety of shots. No experience necessary. 25 spots available. This will be the same content as Camp #1

You can sign up for multiple camps if you wish. Further details on registration will be available in December.

Free Throw

You can also just register for the free throw portion of the evening. Registration will allow you to practice your throws from 10 pm - 11 pm after the coaching sessions are completed. There's also the option to drop in for the free-throw sessions and just pay for the night.

We've partnered with PDGA Canada to provide some extra support for our female players. We will have a FREE women-only training night on March 22nd (4pm - 6pm). This camp is for all skill levels and you'll have local FPO (Female Professional Open) players there to help coach you.

Looking forward to learning with you all!

Coach Gabe Piska

I’ve been playing disc golf since 2013, I started playing in High school and instantly got addicted. I’ve been playing in pro for the past two years now, and have been involved with EDGA since around 2016. I love teaching new people how to love the sport of disc golf and lower their scores.
