Bag Tags
Another Way to Play
In addition to the leagues hosted by the Edmonton Disc Golf Association, members will receive a numbered bag-tag. Members bag-tags are great for all the other reasons - discounts on food and beverages, tires and that sort of thing, but they're also a great casual-challenge on the course!
Play with your crew to rank-up your tag number, from the biggest tag number to the smallest. Rules are simple.
- Tag rounds typically follow the same rules as regular disc golf, with players aiming to complete each hole in the fewest number of throws.
- Each player starts with a tag, and after each round, tags are exchanged based on the scores.
- The player with the lowest score takes the lowest-numbered tag, while the player with the highest score takes the highest-numbered tag.
For clarity:Lower numbered tag holders are cooler than high numbered tag holders. Want to be cooler? Beat someone with a lower-numbered tag than yours in a battle.
On league nights, groups may agree to play for tags, you can challenge another player for their tag and arrange a time to play, or you can challenge another player at a tournament for an extra layer of competition during the round!
Only one REAL rule matters: MEMBERS have numbered tags. Non-members need to become members, then they can battle you for your tag.
Okay, to REAL rules: It's still about fun.
