The EDGA Board
PRESIDENT
The growth that the club has seen since I started on the board in 2021 has been incredible. Now that we’re close to 500 members, it is time to move the mando and start planning for what we want the club to look like when we reach 1000!
Brock Ciochetti
VICE PRESIDENT
After being a casual YouTube enjoyer of disc golf for many years, Darryl finally picked up a disc a couple of years ago and hasn’t put one down since then. In his second year on the board, he’s excited to bring his passion to the Vice President role.
Darryl Williams
SECRETARY
“My life throwing plastic began in 2003 when I started playing Ultimate. In 2009 I purchased my first disc (an Innova Champ Spyder) which I still bag today.”
Graham Troughton
TREASURER
Jason is excited to join the EDGA board as treasurer to give back to the sport that has dominated his free time since 2016. He looks forward to putting the expertise he’s gained as a CPA designated accountant to work by assisting the financial functions of the association, and maintaining accurate records – except for his round scores.

COMMUNICATIONS
Greg started playing disc golf in 2024. As a new player in his 50’s, Disc Golf provided some much needed exercise and was a big part of his path to better mental health after experiencing burnout in 2022.
He plays as often as he can with his youngest son, and wants to share the sport with anyone and everyone – particularly those in his age group.

COURSE MAINTENANCE
“I’ve been playing disc golf for three years. Love to throw Innova Discs. Recently won my first tournament in Ontario in MA3. I enjoy the outdoors and fresh air. My goal is to be an above 950 rated player.”

GROWTH
“I have been playing disc golf for about 3.5 years now. I joined EDGA last year as the club growth coordinator and am continuing that role for the next 2 years.
I love competing and traveling for tournaments. Playing tournaments and getting out to new courses to meet and play with new people is what I love most about the sport.”

PROGRAMMING
“Disc golf has been a big part of my life for almost two decades. I joined EDGA after moving to Edmonton in 2023 and started volunteering in the board shortly after. We have a really wonderful community here and programming for anyone looking to get involved.”

Lindsey has made the switch from ultimate frisbee to disc golf, though she still puts her cleats on now and then. She’s passionate about encouraging female and youth participation in disc golf. She has experience in developing sports programs and managing national events.

MEMBER-AT-LARGE
“I started playing disc golf casually in 2021 during the COVID pandemic. Through EDGA, I met Tim and Kristin, who pushed me to play my first tournament, which was She’s Up First in 2022. I won the FA2 division, and fell in love with disc golf and the community during that tournament. For the last few years I have been competing in the Female Professional Open division in tournaments across Alberta and BC. This is my first year being an EDGA board member and I look forward to advocating for women in disc golf and pushing to gain more women in the community!”
