Norwester Park

Edmonton, AB - Established 2019

Norwester Disc Golf Park was designed by the Edmonton Disc Golf Association and its volunteers. Plans are in place to upgrade the course with permanent, concrete tee pads in 2026.

Norwester is a longer, challenging course with a good mix of trees and wide open shots to let the disc fly. The course demands a variety of shot types off the tee and it provides good elevation changes as well as out of bounds throughout the boundary of the park as it is in the middle of an industrial area.

The nine permanent baskets are setup to play as an 18-hole course with two different tee pads for each basket.

Norwester is ideal for players looking for a strategic nine or a longer 18, great for practice, a quick round after work, or first-time visitors looking to explore disc golf in a casual setting. The course offers:

  • A mix of open and tree lines with strategic shot windows.
  • Natural tees marked on the ground and mandatories (mandos) to add challenge and directional play.
  • Located in a park setting within an industrial area, with road out-of-bounds (OB) boundaries around portions of the course.
