If EDGA is going to host an Ice Bowl, we’re going to do it in style and host it at the most inhospitable time of year. Edmonton’s 2016 Ice Bowl is scheduled for Saturday, February 20 to be played at the Rundle Park Disc Golf Course with the first round to tee off at 10:00 AM.
What is the Ice Bowl?
The Ice Bowl is a collection of disc golf events that are held each year in January and February with an overall mission of raising funds to fight hunger. Related goals include having fun and connecting the disc golf community in a positive way to the community at large. Read more about it at the official website: http://icebowlhq.com/
Entry fee for all tiers is $45.00 ($5 discount with a food bank donation). The first 30 to register & pay will get get a fancy commemorative Ice Bowl disc with this year’s logo stamped on it. Every player will also be treated to a lunch of delicious chilli and a roll or two. As per tradition mulligans are also purchasable at $1.00 each with a maximum of 5 per round, however this year, you may instead pay with a canned food item.
As per the Ice Bowl directive all net proceeds from entry fees will be going to the Edmonton Food Bank.
Registration for the Ice Bowl will take place at the Rundle Park Trail House at the top of the course starting at 8:30 AM on the day of the tournament and will close at 9:45 AM.
